  • How often should I receive lymphatic drainage massage?

    The frequency of sessions depends on individual health goals and conditions. Your therapist will recommend a personalized treatment plan based on your needs.

  • Are there any contraindications for lymphatic drainage massage?

    Contraindications include: acute infections, thrombosis, severe heart conditions, kidney issues, fever and use of antibiotics (except post-operative). It’s important for your therapist to review your health history thoroughly to ensure the massage is safe and appropriate for you.

  • How can I prepare for a lymphatic drainage massage session?

    In the lead up to your appointment, drink at least 2-4 glasses of water to ensure you are well hydrated. It is best not to arrive with a full stomach. We also require that no laser, botox, or wax treatments be done 48 hours prior to or after the signature treatment.

  • Is it safe to receive lymphatic drainage massage during pregnancy?

    We require a medical referral for any prenatal treatments from your doctor/midwife but can absolutely treat you throughout most of the pregnancy. After the first trimester and leading up to the week of your delivery date.

  • Does the lymphatic drainage massage hurt?

    During a lymphatic drainage massage, your qualified therapist applies a combination of soft and hard pressure in key areas to unblock the lymphatic flow. This technique is completely painless!

  • How soon ater my surgery can I book in?

    We normally advise having your first treatment 24h-48h after your surgery as it hugely reduces the symptoms of bruises, swelling, stiffness, scars, lumps and soreness that is quite common after post-op. However, we would require your doctor’s clearance. For quickest recovery, come in once or twice a week for three to four weeks (this could vary depending on how your body reacts to the treatment and if you have already developd fibrosis)

  • What should I do after a lymphatic drainage massage?

    After a lymphatic drainage massage, it's beneficial to drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and support hydration. Avoiding heavy meals and alcohol for a few hours can also enhance the massage's effectiveness.
